Rick Olshak has been a student affairs professional since 1990 and currently serves as an associate dean of students at Illinois State University in Normal, IL, where he is also completing his doctorate degree in educational administration and foundations. Rick is an affiliated consultant for the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management (NCHERM), and is the co-chair of NCHERMs practice group for conflict resolution, also known as NCHERM-CR. Rick is a past president of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA),, and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA). Ricks areas of professional expertise include conflict resolution, mediation, student conduct administration, program and needs assessment, training conduct boards and hearing officers, sanctioning student misconduct, student organization investigations, and addressing Title IX allegations (sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and relationship violence).
