Max Mattern has been part of the New Student Services team since June 2017. In his role as Assistant Director, Max is responsible for the student and leadership development behind Golden Bear Orientation’s student staff. Majoring in journalism at the University of Florida, orientation was the first way he got involved on campus. He received his master’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington in higher education and student affairs. Before joining New Student Services, Max worked within diversity education, leadership development, and orientation at IU Bloomington.
