Jieron Robinson is an accomplished professional with a strong educational background and extensive experience in the field of higher education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising, all earned at Eastern Michigan University. Demonstrating his commitment to personal and professional growth, Jieron is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the same institution.

Throughout his career, Jieron has held several key positions in higher education, including roles at the University of Michigan, Kennesaw State University, and Eastern Michigan University. His experience encompasses library services, advising, academic success, career development and student employment, TRIO SSS, Honors education, multicultural services, LGBTQIA+ student programs, and equity. Currently, Jieron serves as the Program Director for TRIO Student Support Services program at Michigan State University. In this capacity, he provides
oversight and direction for the program’s academic operations, student advising services, data management, and non-academic programming functions. Jieron’s expertise ensures the efficient and effective implementation of these essential components, contributing to the overall success and growth of the TRIO SSS program.

In addition to his administrative experience, Jieron has also taught undergraduate courses part of the First-Year Experience, which has given him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing students today. He has also presented on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programming, highlighting his expertise in this area, as well as his involvement in the implementation of diversity initiatives in Honors Education. Furthermore, Jieron has actively served on a wide variety of committees throughout his career, demonstrating his commitment to
giving back to the academic community.
