Jennifer Harvey is the Director of the Thompson Scholars Learning Community (TSLC) at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK). Jennifer attended college as a first-generation student who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in Education at UNK. She has served in many capacities as an educator, first teaching in Nebraska high schools, then transitioning to higher education where she served in roles with Residence Life and the Dean for Student Life, before beginning work with the learning community. Jennifer started as a program coordinator with the formation of the learning community at UNK in 2008, progressing to TSLC Director where she has had the gift of serving and mentoring hundreds of scholars while they earn their undergraduate degrees. Her strong commitment to at-promise student access and success guides her work as a practitioner, where she assists in meaningful institutional change to impact student lives in Nebraska generationally through education.
