B. Jean Mandernach, Ph.D., is a Research Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Innovation in Research on Teaching at Grand Canyon University. Her research focuses on enhancing student learning in the online classroom through innovative instructional and assessment strategies. She explores approaches for maximizing student engagement, satisfaction, and learning efficiency while examining faculty development, evaluation models, teaching and learning analytics, and faculty workload considerations. Her additional interests include artificial intelligence, emergent instructional technology, and the perception and quality of online education. Jean is an active researcher, author, presenter, and consultant in online education. She holds a B.S. in comprehensive psychology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, an M.S. in experimental psychology from Western Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
