Dr. Chimene Boone is the Director of Student Support Services at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to her work at VCU, Chimene held several positions in the Virginia Community College System working with at-risk students, providing academic advising, serving as an academic coach, and teaching First Year Initiative courses. She has presented at national and state conferences and her research focuses on academic advising and student persistence. Chimene has previously worked at four-year institutions in residence life and has over twenty years of higher education experience.
